Southern Utah rolls past Saint Katherine 92-45

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) Casey Oliverson scored 12 points, Tyler Rawson added 11 with nine rebounds and Southern Utah rolled to a 92-45 victory over Saint Katherine on Saturday night.

The Thunderbirds shot 51.5 percent from the field and out-rebounded Saint Katherine 47-28. A.J. Hess finished with 10 points, while Travon Langston, Christian Thompson and Cal Hanks each chipped in nine. Oliverson was 5 of 6 overall and Rawson had four assists.

The Firebirds were limited to 13-of-49 shooting (26.5 percent) and committed 21 turnovers. D'Vaughn Mann paced Saint Katherine with 14 points and seven rebounds and Curtis Tavares contributed eight points.

Southern Utah used an early 14-1 surge capped by a 3-pointer from Race Parsons and a layup from Oliverson to move out to a 23-8 lead at the 8:45 mark of the first half. The Thunderbirds led by 18 at halftime and coasted in the second half.
