Northeastern holds off Western Michigan, 81-69
The Huskies were outshot by the Broncos, 46 percent to 44, but beat Western Michigan by 14 on the boards and hit 13 more free throws.
Northeastern built a 35-25 lead at halftime, helped in large part by a 19-7 stretch to start the game. A pair of Walker free throws would extend the Bulldogs lead to 16 with 6:13 left. Western Michigan mounted a late comeback, cutting the lead down to six at one point, but would get no further.
