Kenneth Smith hit a 3-pointer to pull Louisiana Tech within 67-62 with 8:13 to play. The Ragin' Cajuns answered with an 11-2 run to stretch their lead to 78-64 with 5:10 left and led by double digits until the final minute.
Alex Hamilton scored 27 points, and Erik McCree had 25 points with six rebounds for Louisiana Tech (7-2). Raheem Appleby had 11 points and Smith 10 for the Bulldogs, who snapped a six-game winning streak.
