Florida forward Alex Murphy is now eligible and is making his debut on Saturday against Wake Forest.

Murphy, the younger brother of former Gators forward Erik Murphy, had not played since transferring from Duke last year due to NCAA rules.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward averaged one point and one rebound in 6.6 minutes over five games with the Blue Devils last season.

“He can help us,” Florida coach Billy Donovan said, according to GatorZone.com. “His versatility is good. He can play a lot of positions and has a really good feel and good IQ.”

Florida entered Saturday's game against the Demon Deacons with a 6-4 record.
