GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Bruce Beckford scored 18 points to help North Carolina A&T hang on to beat Division III North Carolina Wesleyan 58-54 on Sunday.

James Whitaker scored 12 points and Arturs Bremers was 3 of 7 from long range and finished with 11 points for North Carolina A&T (2-12), which snapped a 12-game losing streak and won for the first since the season opener.

Beckford was 4 of 9 from the field and 9 of 11 from the line, and has scored in double figures in six straight games. Steven Burrough added seven points and blocked a career-high seven shots for the Aggies.

Eric Dortch-Jones scored 14 points and Adrian Moore added 10 for NC Wesleyan. The Battling Bishops pulled within 46-45 with less than five minutes to play before the Aggies closed on a 12-9 surge to end it.
