COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Charles Jackson scored 28 points, hauled in 16 rebounds and sparked the go-ahead run that propelled Tennessee Tech to an 87-84 win over North Florida on Monday night.

Trailing by six late in the second half, Tennessee Tech (8-5) got back-to-back buckets from Jackson to spark a 9-0 run that made it 73-70 with 5:54 to go and gave the Golden Eagles their first lead since before the break. North Florida (7-7) tied it at 75 moments later but couldn't overtake Tennessee Tech, which held off the Ospreys at the free throw line to secure the win down the stretch.

Dwan Caldwell added 14 points and Aleksa Jugovic finished with 13 for Tennessee Tech, which is unbeaten on its home court this season.

Dallas Moore led North Florida with 20 points, while Beau Beech and Trent Mackey had 18 apiece.
