NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Darreon Reddick scored 16 points, Christian Mekowulu added 16 with 11 rebounds and Tennessee State defeated Kennesaw State 73-62 on Wednesday to break an 11-game losing skid.

The Tigers (3-12) shot 54.8 percent from the field, outscored Kennesaw State 32-16 in the paint and had a 35-29 rebounding edge. Reddick was 6 of 9 from the field and also had seven boards, three assists and two steals. Charles Tucker chipped in 13 points for Tennessee State.

Kennesaw State (4-11) was held to 32.1-percent shooting in dropping its fourth-straight game. Yonel Brown led the Owls with 21 points and Damien Wilson contributed 11.

Tennessee State led by six at halftime and Reddick opened the second half with a layup and later hit a jumper to cap a 12-3 surge that made it 42-27 with 14:38 remaining. The Tigers led by at least nine the rest of the way.
