MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) Connor Hill made eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 32 points to lead Idaho over Idaho State 77-54 in a Big Sky Conference opener Thursday night.

Hill entered the top 10 of all-time Vandals scorers while matching his career high for 3-pointers. He was 12 of 17 overall and 8 of 13 from beyond the arc before exiting with over six minutes remaining. The Vandals (6-6, 1-0) made 12 of 23 from 3-point range for 52.2 percent, better than what they shot overall at 45.9. Sekou Wiggs added 15 points.

Chris Hansen scored 14 points and Jeffrey Solarin 11 for the Bengals (3-10, 0-1), who lost their fifth in a row.

The Vandals led 40-21 at halftime with Hill scoring 17 points, including 5 3-pointers.

The Bengals cut the lead to 13 to open the second half before Hill hit another 3-pointer, and ISU wouldn't get any closer.
