UConn coach Kevin Ollie's wife files for divorce

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) UConn basketball coach Kevin Ollie and his wife are getting a divorce after 16 years of marriage.

Stephanie Ollie filed for divorce in November saying in her two-page filing that the marriage had ''broken down irretrievably and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.'' Kevin Ollie agreed in a cross-complaint filed on Dec. 11.

They are seeking joint custody of their two teenage children and an equitable division of their property. Stephanie Ollie also is asking for child and spousal support.

The divorce filing was first reported by the Hartford Courant.

Stephanie Ollie's attorney, Timothy Sullivan, declined comment on Friday. Kevin Ollie declined comment through a university spokesman.

The defending national champion Huskies visit Florida on Saturday after a disappointing 6-5 start to the season.
