Maryland has added Ivan Bender to its roster, the school announced on Thursday. Bender, who is eligible to play immediately, has played for the U-18 Croatian National Team and KK Split in the Junior Euroleague.

Maryland has added Ivan Bender to its roster, the school announced on Thursday.

Bender, who is eligible to play immediately, has played for the U-18 Croatian National Team and KK Split in the Junior Euroleague.

The 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward is a native of Caplijina, Bosnia.

"We are excited to have Ivan join our program," Maryland coach Mark Turgeon said in a news release. "He is terrific young man who will be a great addition to our team." 

The No. 11 Terrapins (14-2) play at Purdue on Saturday.
