WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Terry Tarpey had the first triple-double in school history and William & Mary rolled to an 81-73 victory over James Madison on Saturday.

Tarpey scored 18 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had a career-high 10 assists. Marcus Thornton hit 7 of 11 from beyond the arc and finished with 27 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Tribe, and now has 1,816 career points, fourth all-time at William & Mary (9-6, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association).

The Tribe had a 15-point lead, their largest of the second half, with 4:25 remaining. A 13-5 surge pulled the Dukes within 72-66 with 1:26 left. Michael Schlotman made a pair of free throws, Tarpey blocked a shot, and then Omar Prewitt dunked to make it a 10-point lead with 28 seconds left.

Ron Curry scored 14 points, Winston Grays and Jackson Kent had 13 points apiece to lead James Madison (9-8, 2-2).
