North Carolina A&T breezes by Savannah State 68-47

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Bruce Beckford scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had four blocks to lead North Carolina A&T past Savannah State 68-47 on Saturday to hand the Tigers their 12th straight road loss.

Arturs Bremers hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for North Carolina A&T (4-13, 1-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Denzel Keyes added 10 points. The Aggies held a 42-23 advantage on the glass, forced 17 turnovers and had 11 blocks.

Saadiq Muhammad and Terel Hall had 10 points apiece for Savannah State (4-11, 0-1). The Tigers were held to 19-of-55 shooting (34.5 percent) and went to the line just 10 times compared to 33 attempts for A&T.

Savannah State entered the game ranked 7th in the nation in steals averaging 9.9 per game and finished with eight on Saturday.
