Chrabascz leads balanced Butler past Xavier 88-76

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Andrew Chrabascz scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures and Butler pulled away for an 88-76 win over Xavier on Saturday.

Roosevelt Jones added 16 points, Alex Barlow had 15, Kameron Woods had 13 with 10 rebounds and Kellen Dunham scored 10 for the Bulldogs (12-5, 2-2 Big East).

Xavier (11-5, 2-2) was within 56-55 on 3-pointer by Remy Abell with 10:14 to play but Alex Barlow responded with a triple after grabbing an offensive rebound. Kelan Martin followed with a 3 and Xavier couldn't respond. A jumper by Jones made it 73-63 with 4:52 to go.

Matt Stainbrook led Xavier with 21 points and Abell had 15. It is the first time the Musketeers lost by more than four points.

Butler had a 42-29 rebounding advantage with 17 coming on the offensive end.
