BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Ashton Moore's buzzer-beating jumper bounced off the rim twice before dropping in to edge The Citadel past Samford 66-65 on Thursday night.

Moore hit a 3-pointer with 33 seconds left to tie the score at 64-all, but Samford's Michael Bradley made the front end of a pair of free throws with five seconds remaining. Moore finished with 17 points and six assists. Wright had 20 points on six 3-pointers for The Citadel (9-15, 4-9 Southern).

The final six minutes saw no more than a three-point difference, with six lead changes and four ties. The Citadel shot 50 percent overall and 10 of 15 from distance.
