CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) David Walker scored 19 points - including a perfect 9 of 9 on free throws - and Northeastern held off College of Charleston 65-56 on Saturday night to maintain its spot in a four-way tie for the conference title.

Four starters for Northeastern (20-11, 12-6 Colonial Athletic Association) reached double digits. Zach Stahl had 11 points while Scott Eatherton and T.J. Williams added 10 apiece. The Huskies are knotted with William & Mary, James Madison and UNC Wilmington at 12-6.

A 7-2 run sparked by a Walker three-point play and capped with an Eatherton dunk gave Northeastern its largest lead, 63-45, with 2:46 remaining.

Charleston (8-23, 3-15) was led by 20 points from Joe Chealey and 14 from Canyon Barry but lost its third straight.

Northeastern finished with 20-plus wins for the second time in the last five seasons for coach Bill Coen.
