LAS VEGAS (AP) Stacy Davis scored 19 points and Pepperdine rallied to beat San Diego 50-47 on Saturday in a West Coast Conference quarterfinal.

Monday, the Waves (18-12) play Gonzaga, which beat San Francisco 81-72 on Saturday, in their first WCC semifinal appearance since 2004.

Davis' layup with 2:05 left gave the Waves a 48-45 lead. Brandon Perry's dunk cut the margin to one with 45 seconds remaining. After Davis was thwarted on a drive, USD's Johnny Dee put up a floater that missed as did a putback by Vasa Pusica with two seconds left. Shawn Olden sank two free throws for the final score.

The Toreros (15-16) led 24-18 at halftime with both teams shooting in the low-30 percent range. Pepperdine warmed up to 48 percent in the second half but not USD. The Toreros hung in with 19 offensive rebounds for the game.

Dee and Pusica had 11 points each and Perry 10.
