Karl-Anthony Towns thanks Kentucky fans with handwritten letter

Saturday April 11th, 2015

Although it seemed a foregone conclusion that Karl-Anthony Towns was headed to the NBA regardless of how Kentucky's season finished, it wasn't easy for the departing freshman center.

Towns, projected to go either first or second overall in most mock drafts, took to Instagram to thank Kentucky fans for their support during Kentucky's memorable 38-1 campaign. He displayed impressive honesty, along with an equally-impressive mastery of cursive script.

Towns went on to thank the university itself and the coaching staff, a heartfelt gesture and one rarely seen on the handwritten level. You can read the entire letter on his Instagram page, complete with a hello from the now-mythical "Karlito."
