ESPN has announced the matchups for this season's ACC-Big Ten Challenge, highlighted by the first game between North Carolina and Maryland since the Terrapins switched conferences.

The Terps and Tar Heels are expected to be two of the nation's top teams next season. Guard Melo Trimble, Maryland's leading scorer as a freshman, will return as a sophomore and the Terps also added former Duke guard Rasheed Sulaimon. UNC brings back all four of its top scorers.

The former ACC rivals will meet on Dec. 1 in Chapel Hill. Other notable games include Indiana at Duke, Louisville at Michigan State, Virginia at Ohio State and Wisconsin at Syracuse

The Louisville-Michigan State game is a rematch of this year's Elite Eight meeting, which the Spartans won 76–70. Of the 28 teams featured, 13 made the NCAA tournament last season.

Maryland and UNC are not the only opponents renewing a rivalry. Notre Dame will play Illinois for the 40th time, but the first since 2003.

Two games (Wake Forest-Rutgers and Northwestern-Virginia Tech) feature teams that have never met before. The remaining matchups are Clemson at Minnesota, Michigan at NC State, Purdue at Pittsburgh, Miami at Nebraska, Florida State at Iowa and Penn State at Boston College.
