Two Indiana basketball players cited for illegal alcohol possession
Monday August 24th, 2015

Indiana police say Indiana University basketball players Emmitt Holt and Thomas Bryant were cited for illegal possession of alcohol Friday night, according to Jennie Runevitch of WTHR 13.

Holt, 19, appeared in 29 games off the bench for the Hooisers as a freshman last season. He blocked 21 shots for the Hoosiers' defense, while also shooting 65 percent on offense.

In early November, police report that Holt was driving with a blood-alcohol content level of .025 when he struck teammate Devin Davis after dropping him off on campus. Indiana considers the legal limit .08 percent for any adult over the age of 21.

Bryant, a freshman, recently arrived in Bloomington after playing for Huntington Prep School in West Virginia last year.

Six members of the Indiana basketball team were cited for drugs or alcohol related incidents from 2013 to 2014.
