RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) North Carolina State says it has agreed to new contracts for men's basketball coach Mark Gottfried and women's basketball coach Wes Moore, running through 2020.
Gottfried led the men's program to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first four seasons, including a pair of Sweet 16 appearances. His program has averaged 23 victories per season, up from 16.8 in the 20 years prior.
The deal increases Gottfried's annual compensation from $2.06 million to $2.48 million.
Moore is entering his third season. His first team won 25 games and earned the program's first top-10 ranking since 2001, and he reached 600 career victories last season.
The contract increases Moore's annual compensation from $385,000 to $460,000.
The school announced the deals Friday, hours before the season opener for both programs.
