Idaho State upends NAIA Dickinson State 110-85

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) Ethan Telfair scored 23 points to help Idaho State pull away late against Dickinson State 110-85 Monday night in a game it never trailed.

Telfair was 6 for 9 from the floor - 4 of 6 on 3-pointers - and 7 for 8 from the free-throw line, adding five assists and three steals. Gary Chivichyan added 15 points and Clint Nwosuh had 13 for the Bengals. Idaho State shot 52.2 percent.

Idaho State (2-0) led 90-59 with 10 minutes remaining.

Thomas Cowan had 22 points for Dickinson State as he shot 6 for 8 from the field and 10 for 10 from the free-throw line. Julian Vasquez added 18 points and Curtis Redd had 14 for the NAIA Blue Hawks.

The Blue Hawks outrebounded Idaho State 41-34 and shot 22 for 28 from the free-throw line.
