Henson's 24 points lead Wagner over Maine 87-73

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (AP) Corey Henson scored 24 points, Dwaun Anderson added 15, and Wagner pulled away late in an 87-73 win over Maine on Saturday.

Wagner (1-2) led throughout the first half and into the second until a 7-0 spurt by Maine (0-3) put the Black Bears up by two with 14:18 to play. But the Seahawks responded with a 13-0 run, with six points by Henson.

Henson was 5 of 12 from the field and made all 11 free-throw attempts, adding seven assists and three rebounds. Anderson had seven rebounds.

Freshman Issac Vann had 28 points on 8-of-12 shooting for Maine, including 3 of 4 on 3-pointers. He grabbed 11 boards and added two blocks.

Wagner led by as many as 22 points in the second half and outrebounded Maine 44-32.
