Wisconsin’s Bronson Koenig scored the game-winner vs. VCU on Sunday.

Wisconsin guard Bronson Koenig scored the game-winner on Sunday night, as the Badgers beat VCU 74–73 in the consolation game of the 2K Classic at Madison Square Garden.

With six seconds remaining in the game, Koenig spun to his left and hit the layup to put the Badgers ahead. VCU attempted a 3-pointer at the buzzer, but was unsuccessful. The Badgers picked up their third win of the season and the Rams fell to 2–2.

Koenig finished the game with 22 points and three assists while going 9 for 14 from the field. The 6’4”, 190-pound junior is averaging 36 minutes, 16.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game this season.

Wisconsin (3–2) hosts Prairie View on Wednesday.
