CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) Joe Kilgore and Brandon Pye scored 17 points apiece as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi rolled over NAIA's St. Edward's 78-50 on Monday night.

The Islanders (2-2), after dropping consecutive games to Texas A&M 95-70 and Texas 67-56 on the road, returned home for an easy win.

Kilgore was 6 of 9 from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds and Pye made 3 of 8 from beyond the arc. Hameed Ali added 16 points and also had eight assists, three steals. Rashwan Thomas chipped in 10 points and had eight rebounds.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi jumped to an early lead, held a 35-22 advantage at the break and coasted to the win. Sean Watkins nailed a three-pointer with 6:49 left as the Hilltoppers closed to 53-42 with 6:49 left. Ali answered with a trey and a jumper to start a 19-2 run.

James Taylor led St. Edward's with 12 points.
