A 7-0 spurt midway through the first half - including 3s by McGlynn and Nicola Akele - pushed the Rams' advantage to 11 points. Terrell hit a 3 just before the half and Rhode Island led 41-28 at intermission.
Thompson's 3-pointer at 11:36 of the second half gave the Rams (4-2) a 20-point lead and they cruised to victory.
