AKRON, Ohio (AP) Antino Jackson scored 15 points and Jake Kretzer added 13 to lead Akron to a 62-53 win over Western Michigan for its 10th straight win on Friday night.

The Zips (13-1, 2-0 Mid-American) led 34-23 at the half and then made 15 of 25 free throws in the second half to offset 23 percent shooting (5 of 22).

Thomas Wilder had 26 points and Anthony Avery Jr. had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Broncos (6-9, 0-2), who suffered through a miserable shooting night. Western Michigan went 2 of 19 from 3-point range to shoot 32 percent from the field (21 of 66) and was just 9 of 17 from the foul line, which offset a 50-35 rebounding advantage, 24-11 on the offensive end.

After pulling within five with 6:11 to play, the Broncos went 2 of 8 from the field and 1 of 3 from the line with two turnovers.
