AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Auburn guard Tahj Shamsid-Deen is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said Friday that Shamsid-Deen will undergo surgery on his right shoulder. He's missed the last seven games and also missed the end of last season with injuries that required surgery on both shoulders.

Pearl says it won't be determined if the injury could be career-ending until after the surgery. Shamsid-Deen was hurt in practice.

Pearl says guard T.J. Dunans also could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Auburn hosts No. 14 Kentucky on Saturday.
