Saturday January 23rd, 2016

Notre Dame point guard Demetrius Jackson left Saturday’s game against Boston College with a hamstring injury and did not return.

The team announced the injury after Jackson was taken to the locker room midway through the first half. He was injured in the first few minutes of the game, and was seen icing his hamstring on the bench. Head coach Mike Brey called him day-to-day after the game and hoped to have him back this week.

Jackson, a junior, entered the game averaging 17.6 points and 5.3 assists for one of the nation’s top offenses.

Notre Dame won the game 76–49 to move to 14–5 and 5–2 in the ACC.
