CHENEY, Wash. (AP) Austin McBroom scored 37 points, two days after setting a career-high with 35, and Eastern Washington raced past Northern Colorado 97-80 on Saturday.
McBroom made 10 of 16 shots, including 7 of 12 from 3-point range, and 10 of 11 free throws to go with six rebounds and six assists. McBroom had 12 3s and made 22 of 25 free throws for the weekend.
Bogdan Bliznyuk added 18 points and Venky Jois had 14 with 10 rebounds for the Eagles (15-10, 9-4), who have won six straight.
McBroom had four 3s in the first half when the Eagles made 10 of 22 behind the arc and lead by as many as 28 before settling for a 51-31 advantage. Then they hit 16 of 24 shots in the second half to pull away.
Anthony Johnson made all 16 of his free throws and scored 37 points, all career bests, for the Bears (8-17, 5-8) and Jordan Davis had 21.
