Wyoming seals win in final minute over San Jose St, 77-74

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Josh Adams scored 28 points and added six assists to lead Wyoming to a 77-74 win over San Jose State on Wednesday night.

Adams finished just 6 of 16 from the field but hit 15 of 17 free throws.

San Jose State led 42-41 at the half and neither team held more than a six-point lead over the final 20 minutes. Adams hit a free throw and Jordan Naughton made a layup for a 75-72 Cowboys lead with 2:03 left. Brandon Clarke answered with a dunk for the Spartans to cut it back to one.

But Naughton responded with a dunk of his own to make it 77-74, and Princeton Onwas turned it over on the Spartans final possession to seal the win for Wyoming (14-17, 7-11 Mountain West).

Jason McManamen finished with 16 for Wyoming.

Frank Rogers led San Jose State (8-21, 3-14) with 15 points.
