The Virginia Cavaliers (28–7) will take on the Iowa State Cyclones (23–11) in the Sweet 16 on Friday.

Virginia rebounded from a first half deficit to knock off Butler 77–69 in the round of 32. The Cavaliers offense was lights out in the second half, shooting 73% from the field. ACC Player of the Year Malcolm Brogdon led Virginia in scoring with 22 points.   

Iowa State cruised to a victory in its round of 32 game, beating Little Rock 78–61. Georges Niang led the way with a dominant 28-point performance. Iowa State trailed for just 30 seconds in the game. 

The two teams will meet at the United Center in Chicago.
