Fans didn’t realize there were team-specific broadcasts and accused the announcers of bias.
For the third year, Turner is offering team-specific broadcasts for the national championship game. Fans can still listen to the neutral national broadcast with Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery and Grant Hill, but North Carolina and Villanova fans also have the option of listening to announcers that are openly pulling for their teams.
This caused quite a bit of confusion when Turner debuted the feature in 2014 and fans are still struggling to wrap their heads around it. Just look at all the people complaining about bias.
