The 2016 national title game between Villanova and UNC received the lowest ratings ever, reports the Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand.

The game, in which the Wildcats defeated the Tar Heels 77–74 behind a game-winning buzzer beater by Kris Jenkins, turned in a 10.6 rating and had just 17.8 million total viewers across TBS, TNT and truTV. That mark is nearly 10 million less than the 2015 title game between Duke and Wisconsin, which had a 17.1 rating.
