Carrington, Delgado lead Seton Hall past FDU 91-70

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) Khadeen Carrington scored 27 points, Angel Delgado added 22 and Seton Hall pulled away in the second half to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson 91-70 in the season opening game Friday night.

Delgado made 11 of 15 shots for his first 20 point game as the Pirates shot 79 percent in the second half after leading 33-28 at the break. Carrington hit 6 of 7 from the field in the second half, including all four 3's, scoring 19 points as the Pirates made 22 of 28 shots, including 6 of 8 3-pointers. Surprisingly, Seton Hall was 13-of-27 from the foul line in the game.

Desi Rodriguez added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Seton Hall.

Darian Anderson had 20 of his 27 points in the second half for Fairleigh Dickson, which kept it close despite shooting 29 percent in the first half.
