TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) The No. 10 Arizona Wildcats were without guard Kadeem Allen for Tuesday night's game against Cal State Bakersfield.

The senior from Wilmington, N.C., sprained a knee in the Wildcats' victory over Michigan State Friday in Honolulu.

Allen made a driving layup at the finish of that game to give Arizona a 65-63 victory.

The absence of Allen left Arizona with seven scholarship players dressed for Tuesday night's game.

Freshman Kobi Simmons started in Allen's place.
