Abilene Christian holds off feisty Randall 78-74

ABILENE, Texas (AP) Jaren Lewis scored 22 points and Jalone Friday finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds as Abilene Christian fought off NCCAA-member Randall for a 78-74 win on Wednesday night.

Abilene Christian (6-3) led 43-29 at halftime, but the spirited Saints had a strong second half and outscored the Wildcats 45-35.

Friday made a 3, and a pair of layups giving Abilene Christian a 61-41 lead with 13:18 to play. The Saints followed with a 21-8 run with Trey Sneed's layup with four minutes to play cut the Wildcats' lead to 69-62.

Antonio Wilson hit a 3 with eight seconds to go bringing the Saints to within 77-74 before Lewis made one of two free throws with six seconds left to seal the game.

Kashus Lyons led Randall with 29 points and eight boards and Trey Sneed finished with 17 points and eight boards.
