Boston College loses Bowman to leg injury against Wake

NEW YORK (AP) Boston College star guard Ky Bowman is out for the second half of the Eagles' opening round game of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament on Tuesday after injuring his right leg.

Bowman tried to contest a shot late in the first half and landed awkwardly. He stayed down on the count for several moments and before athletic trainers helped him get to the locker room while keeping weight off his leg.

The freshman returned to the bench with 14 minutes left in the second half, using crutches and with his right leg in a brace that stretched from the top of his thigh to his ankle.

Bowman came into the game averaging 14.5 points, five rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He finished with seven points against Wake Forest.
