Five-star high school basketball recruit Isaiah Stewart has committed to Washington, he announced Sunday night at the Hoop Hall Classic. 

The center narrowed down his top five schools to Duke, Kentucky, Washington, Michigan State and Syracuse. He also made official visits to each of the schools.

Stewart, a senior, currently plays at La Lumiere School in Laporte, Ind., and is ranked No. 5 in the nation by the RSCI composite rankings. As a junior in 2017-18, he started in all 29 games and averaged 19.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists. and 2.4 blocks per game.

The 6'9", 245-pound big man also received interest from other top programs including Georgetown, Villanova, Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon and others. 

Stewart won a gold medal with USA Basketball last summer at the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup, averaging 11.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

The senior has been projected to be a future first-round pick in the NBA draft.
