Saint Louis was on a mini-skid to end the year, dropping three of its last four, but conference tournaments are supposed to be a clean slate. Unfortunately those tournaments serve to be clean slates for teams that had disappointing years as well. St. Bonaventure, losers of its last four at the end of the regular season, beat La Salle in the A-10 tournament and brought everything it had against the Billikens.

Jordan Gathers got the ball at the top of the key and took his shot in rhythm, draining the three and sending the Bonnies to the semifinals. And bubble teams all over the country are sighing deeply.
