Temple (2-5)
Saturday was a monumental day for Temple, as the Owls' 24-20 win over Akron brought a four-year stretch of zero- or one-win seasons to an end. Al Golden's boys are still only 2-5, but they surely won't finish No. 119 in these rankings, and with a 2-2 record in the MAC, they're still very much in the hunt for the league's Eastern Division title. They wouldn't be alive if not for the heroics of junior quarterback Adam DiMichele, who passed for a trio of fourth-quarter touchdowns -- including the game-winner with 27 seconds left on a 19-yard strike to Dy'Onne Crudup. Golden told the Philadelphia Inquirer that DiMichele is a "special player."
