The NCAA's most prolific running back isn't Arkansas' Darren McFadden or Michigan's Mike Hart -- it's the Green Wave's Matt Forte, who overtook the national rushing lead with an absurd performance in an overtime win over SMU. Forte rushed 38 times for 342 yards -- a school and Conference USA record -- and scored four touchdowns. "That was an unbelievable performance," Tulane coach Bob Toledo told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "The guy carries the football team on his shoulders. He had some long runs. He's physical. He should have thrown a touchdown pass. He scores four touchdowns. He has [342] yards. What more can you say about the guy? He's a great, great football player."

The nation's longest losing streak -- which belonged to the Rams, at 13 games -- is over. CSU gave up 559 yards of offense to UNLV on Saturday in Las Vegas, but forced five turnovers and managed to beat the Rebels 48-23. The Rams gained 497 yards of their own, including 162 rushing yards from Gartrell Johnson. Embattled coach Sonny Lubick told The Coloradoan, "This was a nice win for this team. There's a point where you feel like you might never win again."
