UCLA unveils new alternate uniforms before 2014 season

Wednesday July 16th, 2014

After going 10-3 last season, UCLA enters the 2014 campaign as one of the clear Pac-12 favorites. Quarterback Brett Hundley and linebacker Myles Jack both return to campus, and coach Jim Mora’s squad is generating plenty of buzz as fall camp approaches.

Now, it’ll have new threads to add to that excitement. UCLA and adidas unveiled a new TECHFIT alternate uniform on Wednesday.

The look is dubbed “LA Steel,” which is somewhat reminiscent of Zoolander, but that can only be a good thing. The uniforms are black (technically “rich dark onyx grey”) and feature the school’s signature blue and gold shoulder stripes.

This announcement also provides a good reason to revisit to Hundley’s preseason hype video, which came out earlier this summer.
