Four-star WR Irvin Charles commits to Penn State

Class of 2015 four-star wide receiver Irvin Charles (Haddonfield, N.J., Paul VI) announced on his Twitter page that he has committed to Penn State

Charles is rated the No. 31 wide receiver in the country by, which also pegs the receiver as the sixth-best player from New Jersey.

Charles had offers from a number of top-level programs, including Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Wisconsin. The 6-foot-4 receiver is Penn State's 11th four-star commitment for 2015. currently ranks Penn State's 2015 recruiting class the sixth-best in the country and the best in the Big Ten. 

Penn State opens its 2014 football season against UCF on Aug. 30 at the "Croke Park Classic" in Dublin, Ireland. This season will be the Nittany Lions' first year under new coach James Franklin.
