D.J. Jones, the top-ranked junior college defensive tackle recruit in the country, committed to Florida State on Sunday.
The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Jones drew scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU and USC, among other programs.
Jones, who attends East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Miss., is set to enroll at FSU in January. In 2013, he had 49 tackles and eight sacks in 12 games for EMCC.
Jones is the first defensive tackle to join Florida State's 2015 recruiting class. The 14-man group is ranked No. 13 nationally by the recruiting site Rivals.com.
