South Carolina's Skai Moore won't start opener after missing treatment

Wednesday August 27th, 2014

South Carolina sophomore linebacker Skai Moore will not start the season opener against conference foe Texas A&M on Thursday after missing a treatment session for a shoulder injury, the school announced

Moore, who made the Southeastern Conference's all-freshman team, led the team in tackles and interceptions last season for the ninth-ranked Gamecocks.

"You just got to make sure he does what he was supposed to do when you ask him to do something," South Carolina defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward said about Moore. "He has to get treatment. He hurt his shoulder a little bit, so he didn't go to treatment. You don't go to treatment you don't play. You got to go to treatment."
