Maryland coach Randy Edsall said on Twitter that sophomore wide receiver Taivon Jacobs will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the first quarter of Saturday's win over James Madison.

Jacobs, a former three-star recruit from District Heights, Md., redshirted last season but was listed as a backup at receiver on the Terrapins' depth chart.

Notice of Jacobs' injury comes three days after Maryland announced that Taivon's brother Levern Jacobs, who was listed as a starter at receiver, is suspended for the season.

The Terrapins' next game is Saturday against South Florida.
