UAB vs. Mississippi State

The Mississippi State Bulldogs will look to extend their record to 2-0 on the season this Saturday against UAB. In their opener last weekend, the Bulldogs beat Southern Miss by a score of 49-0.

Last weekend, Mississippi State's quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 284 yards on 18-of-26 passing with four touchdowns and one interception. He also added in 23 yards on the ground on eight carries. 

Running back Josh Robinson had 14 carries for 87 yards, and running back Nick Griffin carried the ball eight times for 45 yards with a touchdown. 

Four Mississippi State players finished the game with more than 50 yards. Robinson had 49 yards receiving. 

Mississippi State's leading receiver is De'Runnya Wilson, who had 65 yards on four catches. 

The Bulldogs finished just under 50 percent on third-down efficiency, going 7-of-15.

The Bulldogs held the Golden Eagles to 283 yards of total offense, including just 71 yards on the ground. 

Mississippi State forced three Southern Miss turnovers. Preston Smith and Jay Hughes recorded interceptions for the Bulldogs.
