DELAND, Fla. (AP) Mark Cato threw four touchdown passes and ran for two more to lead Florida Tech to a 54-12 rout of Stetson on Saturday night.

On the second play of the game, Cato connected with Xavier Milton for a 69-yard touchdown pass. Cato hit Milton again with a 33-yard strike in the first quarter. Cato had touchdown runs from the 10 and 8, also in the first quarter. He threw a 9-yard TD pass to Aaron George to give the Panthers a 37-0 halftime lead then found George again with an 18-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter.

Cato had 19 carries for 63 yards and was 7 of 15 for 191 yards passing.

Stetson (1-1) got on the board in the fourth quarter with a 77-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Marlin Hall. Blake Plattsmier added a 5-yard touchdown run.
