FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen believes the confidence gained in a 73-7 victory over Nicholls State will carry forward when the Razorbacks travel to Texas Tech.

Much like the rest of his teammates, Allen was less focused on the lack of competition on Saturday and more on the team's first win in nearly a year - a win that snapped a school-worst 10-game losing streak.

Arkansas (1-1) averaged a school-record 12.7 yards per play in the win, gaining 684 yards on 54 plays. Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins led the way, with the duo combining for 274 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 17 carries.

The Razorbacks return to the road this week against the Red Raiders (2-0), who have struggled in a pair of wins this season.
