Oklahoma defensive tackle Quincy Russell wrote on his Facebook page on Monday that he's been kicked off the team.
In the post, Russell wrote, "Well good bye Oklahoma. Time to find a new home." In the comments below, Russell said he had been kicked off the team. In response to a question about why, Russell said, "I didn't do nothing bro the [expletive] said I was a cancer to the team."
As of Monday morning, Russell was no longer listed on the Sooners' roster.
Russell, a senior, arrived at Oklahoma last season as a junior college transfer from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas. He played in two games in 2013 but did not dress for Oklahoma's first two games this season.
The San Antonio native originally committed to Texas out of high school in 2011 but didn't qualify.
Oklahoma is 2-0 this season after defeating Tulsa 52-7 on Saturday.
